I've used more than ten keyboards, but for typing, this one is my favorite

📕 Recommendation Reasons 📕

I have come across more than a dozen keyboards last year and this year. Among all these keyboards with switches like red, silver, and various other mixed types, I still love the low-profile Keychron K3 the most. I've also tried another low-profile keyboard, the K3 Pro, but its overall feel is not as comfortable as this one.

📔 Product Appearance 📔

There's not much to say about its appearance. With a 75% layout, it's very compact in design. Plus, it's also very lightweight. Although it's light, it still has an aluminum alloy body, ensuring good rigidity. My version has backlighting, and even though it's just white light, there are various lighting effects, which pretty much meet all usage needs.

📖 User Experience 📖

This particular one uses a low-profile switch, from Gateron. Before trying this, I had never used a low-profile keyboard. But after using one, when you go back to regular switches, you'll realize that low-profile is more comfortable. Why? Low-profile keyboards have a shorter height. When typing rapidly, the height you need to raise your fingers is lower, unlike with regular switches where you need to lift your fingers higher to get over the switch.

I chose the brown switch for this keyboard. Compared to the blue switch, the brown one is quieter and requires less force to actuate. Some might say that red switches are also good, but red switches have a softer mechanical feel. On balance, the brown switch feels the most comfortable.

After typing for a long time, I don't feel fatigued. If I were using other switches, like silver ones, I might have gotten tired sooner. I once typed 6,000 words in one go using this keyboard and felt no strain at all.

Now, for the downsides. One obvious one is its dual-mode feature - wired and Bluetooth. When using it wired, it's very responsive. But in Bluetooth mode, there is a slight delay upon waking it up, maybe up to five seconds. Those with a keen attention to detail might not like that.

Another downside is the battery life. The trade-off for being compact and lightweight is a shorter battery life – about three to four days of regular use before needing a charge. Also, the height of the foot pads is a bit low.

But despite these drawbacks, I'd still call it the best keyboard for typing I've ever used, hands down. Using it for extended periods feels genuinely comfortable.
